In 2014, Kim Kardashian’s legal team were working on a case that could have put a dent in her husband Kanye West’s empire.
In March of that year, she filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and was ordered to pay $6.9 million in child support to her ex-husband.
“The case, which was a massive waste of time, money and effort, was dismissed and no charges were brought against the Kardashian family,” a spokesperson told the Guardian at the time.
The Kardashian family are no longer together and the Kardashians are currently suing Kim for $8.9million.
The Kardashians claim that she’s used their wealth to make lavish lifestyle trips and to buy and renovate luxurious properties while she’s been living in poverty.
The suit claims that the Kardashian clan’s income was siphoned off to pay off debts in the form of debts incurred during the bankruptcy.
Kim Kardashian’s lawsuit claims that Kanye West was “unwilling to pay his debts”, while Kim’s legal teams argue that Kanye was “using his wealth to enrich himself at the expense of others”.
The lawsuit has not been dismissed, and the case is still on appeal.
The court has yet to rule on the case.
