Houston car accident lawyers Brent Clark and Bruce Clark have received numerous phone calls about injuries they have received in car accidents, Clark told NBC affiliate KPRC.
“A lot of people are contacting us, asking us questions, asking how we can help them,” Clark said.
“It’s hard to be the best lawyer when you’re constantly having to respond to people that have never met you, and that’s what we’re trying to do.”
Clarks, who has worked in the legal field for 35 years, said he’s received dozens of calls from people who have lost loved ones in accidents.
The lawyers said they received multiple calls from injured individuals in their area asking them for help with their claims.
While the lawyers don’t know of any injuries sustained by the clients in their cases, they said they are working closely with the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) to identify who to call.
“We’ve received hundreds of phone calls and letters from individuals who have had a car accident,” Clark told KPRP.
They have reached out to hundreds of people and are waiting for the TDI to send them a statement.
Clark said that they are “hoping that TDI will be more forthcoming” with the information they received.
A spokesperson for the Texas Office of Insurance did not immediately respond to NBC News’ request for comment.
